My love story
You have power over your mind―not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.
Marcus Aurelius
Meet Philomena Kabura Njore a 27 year old lady who narrates to KDM on how she met Stuart Dickson 7 years ago at Java (A popular coffee house in Kenya) where she had gone to take a cup of tea. she tells how Dickson approached her somewhat casually and in his pure fashion started up a conversation.
Dickson was a strong relief and a strong shoulder to lie on , quite literally for Philomena who had gone through very rough waters especially with those most close to her; theirs was love at first sight! Speaking to KDM journalist Philomena says Dickson went to live for sometime with her mum in Kiserian before they relocated to Gachie then to Limuru where people were not accommodative of their blossoming love and would also criticize them for living a village life which is quite a deviation from the stereo types of Muzungu money and high end living.
They would later buy a 6 acre farm in the beautiful Laikipia bordering the Rumuruti forest; that farm is the present day Marmanet Cob Cottages. There on the mirror of the Mount Kenya slopes, they have been able to build their marriage and their 7 years track record is a testament to the commitment to the vows they made during their beautify garden wedding. Philomena even wears a tattoo of 2 intersected rings to show her strong love for her husband who is now 65 years old.
To her, age is nothing but a number and she is very proud to declare her eternal love for Stuart Dickson, the British globe trotter & career large scale organic farmer who has finally found a resting nest in the Sub-Sahara country of Kenya in the highlands of Mount Kenya and in the blossom of Philomena Kabura Njore.
Ms. Dickson advises people of all walks of life to embrace love from whichever source it comes from and reiterates that there should never be shame in love only peace and a hearty contentment. You will easily tell of what she feels for her husband immediately you hit her social pages.
Her parting shot?
Live your life and care less what people might think! mind more about your own happiness.
