"the Marmanet cob cottages" which is under  Philomenas Country Cob  is a small Organic treasure nestled in a hidden corner of Laikipia County Kenya.  A hamlet where we are slowly but surely ( as they say around here) growing our own peaceful and sustainable Oasis. Our goals are to re-forest our six acre shamba which we bought in 2017 with indigenous and African trees grasses and shrubs - fruit trees herbs and heritage veg gardens and sheep. A forest farm  where  Off the grid- chemical free zone- leave it all behind-take a walk- visit nature- read a book-take a nap- put up your feet- come be yourself- milk a cow-sleep like a log - feel like a champ and cook up a storm are terms that are commonplace. To help you settle in Philomena has built 2 Cob cottages. These artistic natural structures are here for you to just relax and soak up the silence. The ancient Cob building style allows the structure to " live and breath " and believe me the living breathing nature of Cob grows on you. Philomenas Country Cob  ( the marmanet cob cottages ) is not a resort and we are not in the Entertainment business we are just opening the door to solitude and peace in one tiny corner of Laikipia County.
